Oslo 1999.
Also shown at the National Film Institute (NFI) Oslo 2000 and
published on the DVD: “4” in a “two-up” onescreen version
A very significant step for me. My first exhibition with moving images. I couldn’t go back to just exhibiting still images after this. The interest for my work at collections and with art buyers had a serious meltdown.
4 synchronized movie-streams shown on four monitors, Symbols and images composited on a background of land, sea and sky. Elements floating across the screens as if it was a single videostream.
A digital lambda-print was also part of the project.

The print (h.44 x w.110 cm)

The mockup of the piece and the invitation:

4 Mpeg2 sterams synchronized via 4 cards in one computer. This was not exactly easy to do in 1999.
I had good help from Simen Frostad and Guttorm Lende The man who programmed it was Eirik Wulff
